Calculate the molarity of a solution in which 0.75 moles of a solute are dissolved in 125g of solution (density of solution = 1.05g/mL).

I don't even know where to begin.

  • Chemistry - ,

    Start with the definition.

    Molarity=molesSolute/volumeSolution

    and VolumeSolution=masssolution/density.

    You will have to change the volume from ml to Liters.

  • Chemistry - ,

    1.05 * 1L/1000mL = 0.001 L

    So, do I then go ahead and do this:

    Vsolution = 125g/0.001 L ?
