In the U.S., first grade means the first grade of only elementary school. Children in first grade are 6 or 7 years old.
The last two are common responses for 7th graders. We usually use grade, rather than class for elementary and middle school students. Class is more common in high school, like freshman class, sophomore class, etc. We also often use grades in high school, like 9th grade, 10th grade, etc.
