if he used x of the 20 cent stamps he used 2 x of the 32 cent stamps
so
2x*32 + x * 20 = 336 cents
64 x + 20 x = 336
84 x = 336
x = 4 of the 20 cent stamps
2x = 8 of the 32 cent stamps
