Where can I find info to answer this question?
Which of the following is true concerning alterations made to a deed in the United States?
A: All alterations made to a deed are considered forgery
B: Only three words are allowed to be altered on a deed
C: Alterations must include an accurate statement of such changes
D: A deed with alterations is considered void by most judges.
I believe the answer is D but I'm teetering between C and D.
Do you know where I can get better information?
It depends on the country in which you live. In general, in English common law, any alteration to a deed makes it void.
