1. Identify and name fallancy below and explain.

This measure is of sufficient importance that our representatives should have the integrity to bring it to a vote.

My answer:

I believed, the fallancy was a scapegoating because the author was blaming the representatives should have the integrity.

2. Identify the rhetorical devices used by the sentence below and explain.

The bill would also adopt a federal ban on late-term procedures that opponents refer to as partial-birth abortions.

My answer:

I believed, the rhetoricla device was euphemism because the late-term procedure was adopt. On the other way, the opposition refer to the different bill name.

Please advise,

Thank you,

Since when does my values determine the integrity of others?

The use of inflammatory words (abortion) clouds thinking. What else is in the bill? Often evil is cloaked in a shroud of good....(Cruella de Vil makes beautiful coats which can make abandoned orphaned kids very warm in the winter, or my favorite...He gave his life for his country <really?>, or ...It is your duty to support the President <really?>, and so on). Emotions (including religion, patriotism) often wrap up issues in simple slogans or words (as if you vote for this bill you are in favor of abortion...disregarding all the other things in the bill).
