Helping my son with %. I can't remember how. Here is the question. The baseball team has played 35 games so far this season. Of those games, they've won 21. What percent of the games played has the team won?

Can someone help me with the formula

First, divide 21 by 35.

21/35 = 0.6

Then multiply by 100 (or move the decimal point two places to the right).

0.6 = 60%

Thank you so much. I thought that was how. Wanted to make sure before I told him wrong. Thanks again for your help. Have a great night!

You're very welcome! I'm delighted to help a parent who's working with her child on his school work. :-)

To find the percentage, you can use the formula:

Percentage = (Number of Wins / Total Number of Games) * 100

In this case, the number of wins is 21, and the total number of games is 35. Plugging these values into the formula, we have:

Percentage = (21 / 35) * 100

To calculate this, you divide 21 by 35 to get 0.6, and then multiply the result by 100:

Percentage = 0.6 * 100 = 60%

Therefore, the baseball team has won 60% of the games they've played so far this season.
