If g(x) = 3x-8, find g[g(-4)].

3(-4)-8
-12-8=-20

Is this correct?

Thanks

  • Algebra II - ,

    g(-4) = 3(-4) - 8 = -20 indeed,
    BUT
then we were supposed to do g(-20)
    g(-20) = 3(-20) - 8
    = - 60 - 8
    = -68
