First of all, the subject of your question is not geometry. It is about basic math and measurements. Geometry is about shapes and angles, together with the lengths of lines.
For your first question, kilometers are the dimensions usually chosen to express distances between places on Earth or in the solar system. For the other measurements, choose the metric dimension that makes most of those human-scale measurements fall in a range from 1 to 100. Except for very young children, most humans are at least one meter high.
For your second question, just multipy the number of metric tons by the number of kg in a metric ton.
Nitric oxides of different types are not written NO; they should be written NOx. This is a point your tecaher or textbook writer may not be aware of.
