Homework Help: speech help: quotes

I'm trying to find quotes for my speech.

One point i'm saying in my speech is that the gas supply is going down, so gas prices will always increase, because people demand it.

I was wondering if there's a quote by a person that says something familiar to this:

The more you want something, the more the value of that object increases.

something like that or close to that.
