1) What kind of chemistry makes it possible for DNA of materials being tested to lodge at only one kind of probe molecule?

2) What is normally the connection between damage to a cell and the p53 protein?

3) From the perspectives of the society as a whole, why are mutatuions of the p53 gene so threatening?

I have looked on the internet for these answers to a few of the question in my project i have answered 17 out of 20 i really need some help with these questions.....please help!!

well i think i know the answer to number 3 from my past knowledge...

the p53 gene controls the rate of division as well as being the trigger to either signal for repair, cause the cell to go into senescence or apoptosis (cell death), during cell cycle. If there is a mutation of the p53 gene then that would cause uncontrolled growth which would lead to cancer.
