m=2.4-(5)

2.4-(-1)

for the answer I get -2.6

is this right if not please show me where I got off track.

The formula for m in this case is

m = (2.4-2.4)/(5 -(-1)) = 0/6 = 0

The equation of the line is is y = 2.4
