would you factor 9x-12 first? I'm not sure

= 3(2x^2 + 3x - 4)/2

that is all the factoring that can be done,

I don't know what you mean by "grouping symbols"

perhaps they want

(6x^2+9x-12)/2

=3x^2 + (9/2)x - 6
