Classify each of the following by the type of solid if forms:

a. LiCl
b. BaCl2
c. BCl3
d. CCl4
e. NCl3

Look up the electronegativities of the cation and the anion. If the difference is greater than 1.9 or so call it ionic. If less than 1.9 or so call it covalent
