Homework Help: math

line xy is translated 3 units to the left. if a point on line xy is located at (2,11), where would the equivalent point be on line X and Y prime?

a)(2,14)
b)(2,8)
c)(-1,11)
d)(5,11)

I think the answer is c. What I did is move the point 3 units to the left and and subtracted 3 from 2 and it gave me (-1,11). Am I right?
