I can't put this sentence together and have it sound right. Any suggestions?

Women have contributed much to American culture of great value. or

Women have contributed much of great value to American culture.

HELP!

Your second sentence is better.

You could shorten it to:

Women have contributed much to American culture.

You could put:Women have been a great contributor to American culture.
