A line passing through (–6, –5) and (–1, y) is perpendicular to a line with slope 5/13 . Find the value of y

The slope of the second line must be 13/5, so that the product of slopes is 1.
Since the slope is (y2 y1)/(x2 x1) for any two points on a line,
(y+1)/(1 +6) = 13/5
(y+1)/5 = 13/5
Solve for y
