If,an,object,is,at,rest,there,must,be,no,force,acting,on,it.Is,this,statement,correct?,Explain!
The forces on it must sum to zero. That does not mean there are no forces. For example if a rock is sitting on your desk, gravity is pushing down on it and the desk is pushing up.
