if you have to build a pool of 72 yards in your yard,and the construction company wants you to choose the dimentions (lenth and width) of the pool.how do you choose the dimentions that will give you the greatest area possible?

Is 72 yards supposed to be the length (maximum edge dimension) of the pool, a diagonal dimension, or the perimeter? Does it have to be rectangular? A circular pool will give you the greatest area for a given perimeter.
