*Much of Spain was ruled by Muslims called Moors from about 800 to 1500.
*One of the most beautiful buildings in the world is the Alhambra, a Moorish palace in Grenada, Spain. It even has a harem, apartments for women only.
*Spain and Portugal are located on the Iberian Peninsula.

*The first people, called Aborigines, came to Australia over 50,000 years ago. They apparently came by boat from the mainland of Asia by way of many islands.
