Homework Help: Religon

What is the difference between the way Buddhists understand a person who has realized their buddha-hood (बुद्ध) and the way Western religions experience the relationship between a Divine Being and the founders of religions? In other words, why does it seem like the Divine Being/s seem absent for Buddhism?
