a rectangular mural is painted on a wall. if the mural is 12ft wide and covers 86.4sqft,what is the height of the mural?

The formula for finding the area of a rectangle is:
A = 2h + 2w

The area of a rectangle is (length)(width)
so 86.4 = 12(length)
length = 86.4/12
Check your answer by multiplying what you got by 12
