an run contains 40 balls some red and some white if the probability of selecting a red ball is .45 how many red baslls are in the run?

Are the balls identical, or OR THE RED BALLS VERY LARGE and the white balls very small? Are the red balls on top?

The problem probably should have said the balls were identical, and mixed randomly.

Pr=.45=x/40 solve for x.
