I have to write a modest proposal similar to Jonathan Swifts. Please tell me if I am on the right tack (if there is changes to be made show me where)
It is devastating and heart wrenching to see how the world is slowly transforming into a heat machine and a toilette. The planet is melting as we are speaking. Humans are the number one cause for this tragedy. What do they do all day? Driving in their beautiful luxurious cars that release huge amounts of greenhouse gases. According to the global warming association, human’s release 30 billion gallons of gas on a daily basis due to their daily activities. Our world is becoming into a business, with more cars and factories than trees and animals, which help, keep the atmosphere stable. I can no longer see the air clearly because of the fumes and smog. A place many and I once called home is now a dump yard.
Many people carelessly throw their toxic chemicals in rivers (factories and restaurant owners), animals such as cows produce a lot of waste thorough farting (release methane), and war is one major problem that releases, and abundant amount of pollution through the weapons, nuclear bomb (releases radiation).
I have contemplated and thought about this issue for years. Talking with very knowledgeable and intellectual individuals regarding this subject. I have come to realized that I have come up with the best tactics to solve the problem that will keep the society and earth healthy. I propose to fine people huge amounts of money for every time they throw a piece of particle on the ground, using the car without their guardian’s permission, turning on their factories for more than two minutes, using their barbecue machine without giving the president the first bite, and smoking without the judicial branches approval. If they do no follow the rules, they will be forced to run naked twenty times around the entire city until they have lost all their breath.
Remember that A Modest Proposal is pure satire and irony. There was great poverty in Ireland at that time; however, he is making a totally ridiculous proposal to cure the situation in order to bring serious attention to the problem.
You have chosen a very good problem which needs a great deal of attention. However, I think you need to look in your box of totally insane ideas for a solution to present that is so outrageous that it will call attention. Provide the details that Swift did to prove that your idea will really solve the problem. Please repost and we will be happy to give you suggestions or proofread if it is needed.
