36x = 8x^2 +28
8 x^2 -36x +28 = 0
x^2- (9/2)x + 7/2 = 0
(x - 9/4)^2 +7/2 - 81/16 = 0
(x - 9/4)^2 = (81-56)/16 = 25/16
x - 9/4 = + or - 5/4
x = 1 or 7/2
