Are you supposed to punctuate this sentence? Please post your corrected version, and we'll be glad to check it for you.
yes

can i get help with my punctuation homework
Eric -- we're not going to punctuate this for you. We help students with homework, but we don't do it for them. As I said, if you post your corrected version, we'll be glad to help you.
''where are you going? my mother asked. you know you have to tell me where you're going before you go out i'm going out i replied where my mother demanded i'm just going to hang out with some friends.i need to know exactly where you're going and who you're going with she insisted come on mom i whined no oneelse's mother asks so many questions i wish you would trust me and stop asking so many questions
Here's a start:
"Where are you going?" my mother asked. "You know you have to tell me where you're going before you go out."
"I'm going out," I replied.
Please finish the paragraph, putting quotation marks around each thing that someone said. Also start a new paragraph when there's a new speaker.
You also need to capitalize correctly. Notice that Ms. Sue has included capital letters in the correct places in addition to punctuation and spacing.
"where"my mothter demanded."I'm just going to hang out with some friends.""I need to know exactly where you're going and who you're going with."she insisted. "come on.Mom"I whined."No one else's mother asks so many questions!I wish you would just trust and stop asking so many questions"
You have the quotation marks right. :-)
You now need to add the
correct capital letters
correct end marks
new paragraphs for each speaker.
i thought everything was rihgt i not sure where to start my new capital letters and end punctuation
Capitalize the first word of sentences and direct quotations.
Use a question mark after a question.
Use a comma at the end of a quotation that is followed by the rest of the sentence.
Please study the model I posted earlier.
