A proper noun names a specific person, place, thing, or idea. Proper nouns are always capitalized.
Examples:
Persons: Joe, Mr. Kaminski, President Bush
Places: Grand Canyon National Park, Chicago, Hirsch High School, Ethiopia
Things: Coca Cola, Nike, Dell Computer
