Please check my answer:

Which of the following statement is not true?

1). Mitosis produces new nuclei with exactly the same chromosomal endowment as the parent nucleus.

2). Mitosis may occur without cytokinesis

3). Mitosis and cytokinesis are required for asexual reproduction

4). all cells come from a preexisting cell

5). the mitotic spindles in prokaryotic cells are composed of microtubules

Answer: I believe the answer is (3).
