Posted by Audrey on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:14pm.

sorry, I know I already asked this, but I called some of my friends and it seems I copied down the homework wrong.

The question is the number of arrangements of five letters from the word 'magnetic' that end in a vowel is:

A 360
B 420
C 840
D 2520
E 7560

A) 360 B) 420 C) 840 D) 2520 E) 7560

again, I'm so sorry, but I really could use some help, please.

There are three ways to fill the last place.
The the other four spaces can be filled in 7*6*5*4 ways

so the number of ways = 3*7*6*5*4 = 2520
