What effect does hypnosis have on memory, according to research?

a. Hypnosis enables people to recall unpleasant memories they had forgotten.
b. Hypnosis improves memories going back to about age 4, but not earlier.
c. Hypnosis improves memories going back to at least age 2.
d. Most of the "memories" newly reported under hypnosis are incorrect.

I chose answer D. because people are usually wrong when they report what they dreamed after being hypnotised, they will bring things that were not even there in the first place into the picture. Is this answer correct?

You are on the money. There is little verifiable evidence that hypnosis can do what many proponents advertise it to do in the popular press.
