I wrote a thesis statement on "The Red Badge of Courage" and if someone could revise it, it would be pretty helpful.

"Crane believes war is neither glorious nor honorable, but rather a fiery blaze able to only destroy, caused by groups unaware of the flames they created, made up of arsenists who unintentionally experience the burn while producing it."

We were told to analyze the story and incorporate some metaphors to show one thing that the author felt in his story.

I know it isn't that good and will need some revising. Thanks.

Oh, I like it!

The only thing I'd add is the word "sometimes" before the word "unaware" -- because sometimes they are aware and don't care or are aware and willing to deal with the consequences. (But of course at other times they are really unaware of the consequences of what they've set off.)
