That the sum total of energy and matter in the universe is constant, but that matter and energy are equivalent, and can be interchanged with each other.
The doesnt really help...
If it does, how do I use it to explain what happens when magnesium burns?
Im really confuzzled to! I have no idea what my teacher is going on about! What on earth does "the big idea of energy" mean? HELP!!!
Was there stored energy in the chemical bonds of the Magnesium metal? Was it released when a reaction occured? Was the change in stored energy equal to the energy released?
Have you got the same stupid homework as me?
it says on my sheet that for lvl 7 i have to use symbols from a peridoic table to get a symbol equasion? does that mean stuff like C02 and stuff? And plz explaing what u mean by the total of energy something something with each other-i don't really get it much
and what happenes when you mix sulphur and iron together with a cotton ball jammed in the test tube??????
I know it turns black but why does there have to be cotton wool blocking it????!!!!
And do i needed to see what happens when i heat it up-or do i need o mix the together?
cos it has a piocture of a puddle with little black beans in it-
supposedly suphur and iron filings
yes it probably is the same sheet.
I've done it now so it doesn't matter...
yeah it does mean CO2 but it was
2Mg + O2 --> 2MgO
I am really stuck on this piece i have done my particle model now on why sustances classified as an element and why there are same particles at the end and the begining Can anyone help me out
i need help with an answer which is level 6 do use a partical modle in detail how magnisium burns
errr ive got the sme friggin hw aswell
and the worst thing is is that we av to do it for our assesment
enyways the reason they put the cotton wool is to stop the smoke getting out
btw im in yr 8 so u no i migh be rong!!!
Well when magnesium burns it makes a realy big flsh which can realy hurt your eyes if you look at it
Same a bit stuck thing about mg and O2 ?? confused
I Have The Same Piece Of Homework I Reaaly Don't Understand, The Iron And Sulphur React To Form Iron Sulphide(Fe+S=FeS) And That You Have To Talk About This Reaction Using The Big Idea Of Energy ... Reaalllyy Conffuuseed Heelpp!!
I really don't get it mines on iron an sulphur and its like EXPLAIN THE REACTION USING THE BIG IDEA OF ENERGY. can any one help me please because I really don't under stand this ?!?!?!?
I know don't worry
arghhh! i don't get it when it says "explain the reaction using the big idea of energy!"
I have the same problem, apparently the big idea of energy is to do with heat and light energy being the same or summat. I have the 'Explaining what happens when we burn magnesium metal' HW it is sooooo annoying and I want to get a lvl 7 but I can't cos of the BIG IDEA OF ENERGY, I mean seriously?!?!
The big idea of energy transfer is the idea of a source of energy being changed into another form of energy such as light energy to heat energy. This effect happens in global warming where chemical energy is transfered into heat energy with a greenhouse effect
same homework = iron and sulphur and i really don't get what this big idea of energy is, apparently its something to do light and energy plllzzz hhhhhheeeelllllppp
HOW DO U DESCRIBE A REACTION USING THE BIG IDEA OF ENERGY????????????PLS HELP IMEDIATLY
im so suprised that we all have the same question. I'm stuck on the level 6 question where it says, big idea of energy. Although I think it's because the atom has more shells and more amount of electrons and protons so it has more stronger energy. And the outer shells have more likely to leave although there's only 3 shells so I'm not sure how that'd make sense😶
The big idea of energy is explaining it as though it is something else
Awnser: the Energy between the atmos collided, resulting in a chemical bond of these two elements, creating a compound.
