I have to state, my reading of the quote is not at all near to your "in other words..." statement.
To me, the speaker is stating that if we are alive we have no choice, we are philosophers by the act of living.
With that, I am not certain at all, what you are asking.
I suspect you need to describe what living entails, that my answer your question.
