show that 3/2 and 1/3 are roots of the quadratic function y=6x2(squared)- 7x -3

6x^2 -7x -3 = 0 can be factored to the form

(3x+1)(2x-3) = 0

If either factor is zero, you have a solution

The roots are actually -1/3 and +3/2. You left out a minus sign
