Homework Help: physics homework

I need help with the following questions:

You are driving north on a highway. Then, without changing speed, you round a curve and drive East. What is it that changes when you make this turn? Would it be acceleration, direction, velocity, and distance change?

A kilogram is a measure of an object's ?
would it be mass?

What are the fundamental quantities? Would it be mass, length, time, temperture, electric current, lumionous intentisty, amount of substance.
