Are you sure the terms in parentheses on the right side are 1.6f and 8.3f? Those would combine to give you
(6.7f) on the right. Multiply that by 6.
On the left, 4.7(2f0.5) can be rewritten 9.4f  2.35.
Continue to combine terms and solve for f, if that is what the problem asks for.
