Are you sure the terms in parentheses on the right side are 1.6f and -8.3f? Those would combine to give you

(-6.7f) on the right. Multiply that by 6.

On the left, 4.7(2f-0.5) can be rewritten 9.4f - 2.35.

Continue to combine terms and solve for f, if that is what the problem asks for.
