an object has a colume of 25 cm3 and a mass of 50g. Antoher object has the same volume of 25 cm3 and a amass of 75 g. Caluculate the densities of both objects. Show all work. INclude the correct unites with your answer.

mass = volume x density. Rearrange to

density = mass/volume
You have been given the mass in grams and you are given the volume in cm3. Calculate density in g/cc. Show your work if you don't understand the next step OR explain in detail exactly what you don't understand.

So i divide 25 cm3 by 50 g to get 2?

No. Is 25 cm3 volume or mass? density = mass/volume. You have divided volume/mass.

And 25 divided by 50 = 1/2, not 2.

It is volume. Am I supposed to divide mass by volume to get density or mulitply?

setup

1st object

D=M/V so

D=50g/25cm^3

2nd object

D= 75g/25cm^3

Yes, density = mass/volume

volume is 25 cc for the first object.
mass is 50 grams for the first object.
density = mass/vol = 50g/25cc = 2 g/cc.

The second object is done the same way.
