That's just what I can't find information about. I'm not sure what happened in the colonies that would have developed the other states.
The question is asking about the division of the 13 colonies into two groups -- the northern colonies and the southern colonies. The northern colonies were more industrialized and business-oriented. They also favored a strong central U.S. government. The southern colonies were more agricultural and depended upon slaves to plant and harvest their corn and tobacco farms. They also wanted more control by states, rather than by the central U.S. government.
