Segment A C contains point B.

If AC = 24; AB = 2x-1 and BC = 3x+5, then AB + BC = AC. Solve for X. Post your work if you get stuck.

(2x -1) + (3x +5) = 24

5x +4 = 24

5x = 20

x = ?

because

you divide 5x=20 to 5

this will cancel 5 and give you

x=4
