Homework Help: Math

A man walks a certain distance at a certain speed. If he walks 1/2 an hour faster than his usual speed, he will take one hour less to reach his destination. But if he walks 1 km an hour slower than his usual speed, he will take 3hours more to reach his destination. Find the total distance covered by him.

What does walk 1/2 an hour faster mean?
