Homework Help: Math

Posted by Joshua on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 2:31pm.

On a grid with points R(-2,-6)& S(3,4), what is the slope of line RS? I don't know how to find the slope. Thank you.

The formula for a straight line is
y = mx + b
m is the slope and b is the y intercept.
One way is to plug in the two sets of points listed in the problem and solve for m (and b). Post your work if you get stuck.
