Homework Help: Math- Ratios

Posted by Chris on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 3:19pm.

What is 30 pounds to 2 tons as a fraction simplified? Also the same question for 2 meters to 40 centimeters?

30lb/2Ton = 30 lb/4000 lb = 3/400
2m/40 cm = 200 cm/40 cm = 5
The dimensions of the numerator and denominator must match to get the ratio.
