Homework Help: chemistry

Posted by Brooke on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 2:45pm.

a car covers a distance of 200 mile in 3 hours. How many kilometers will it travel in 25.0 minutes?

first, convert the 200 miles to km. I get about 320 km. Then, convert the hours to min....I get about 180 min.

so you know speed in km/min....divide the distance in km by the time in min. That will give you the distance in km traveled in one minute....so, multiply by 20 min.
