The sum of two numbers is 81. The second is 6 more than 2 times the first. What are the two numbers?

Dear Veronica I can not do all your homework for you.
2X+6 +x =81
Try to get them in an equation. When you think you have it solved put the numbers back in and see if one side equals the other. If so your answer is correct.
