did I do this right and if not can you please help me.
Solve. 4(x + 7) = –8

4(x+7= -8
7*4+x *4= -8
(28+4x)= -8
28+4x= -8
28=-28+4x+ -8+-28
0+4x= -8+-28
4x= -8+ -28
4x= -36
4x÷ -36
x= -9

4x +28 = -8

4x = -36

x = -9
