An employee who produces x units per hour earsn an hourly wage of y=0.70x + 12( in dollars). Find the hourly wage for an employee who produces 18 units per hour.

substitute x=18 and evaluate.

y- 0.70(18) + 12
y = 12.60 + 12
y = 24.60
