Homework Help: Math

Posted by Helpless on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 9:17am.

Please help!!!
1. Simplify...w+3/4w divided by w-3/2w

to divide one fraction by another,
keep the first fraction as is, then multiply by the reciprocal (flip) of the second one.
so...
(w+3)/(4w) (w-3)/(2w)
= (w+3)/(4w) x (2w)/(w-3)
= (w+3)/[2(w-3)]

Thank you!!!
