Homework Help: HISTORY FINALS AGAIN

Thanks so much Ms. Sue, Guru Blue , and Write acher, especially Ms. Sue who is so specific. I have some more questions I am not sure of. Actually i have over 100 questions to study, I have already done 1/2. Any help is very much appreciated. here goes.

A. halting of aggression
B. peace through unilateral disarmament
C. promotion of prosperity and free-world security
D. cooperation with less developed nations

I think it's D, right?

15. Relations between the United States and Communist China ______.
A. have been helped by increases in trade
B. improved when the Communists took power in 1949.
C. ended when the US recognized the Taiwan based Chinese government
D. deteriorated under the Nixon administration

It's C, right?

18. United States foreign and defense policies are primarily designed to ________.
A. further the influence of democracy
B. safeguard U.S. national security
C. assist Third World economic development
D. contain the spread of communism

I'm really confused on this one. I know it's not A or D. maybe B?

20. Due to the nature of the world today, ________ is not a goal of United States fpreign policy.
A. defense against terrorism at home and abroad
B. preventing the spread of communism
C. isolationism from foreign affairs
D. defending democracy at home and abroad

It's got to be C, right/

They got me on this one. Help Maybe D

I think it's D, right? Yes, D seems to be the best answer, although I'm not sure that B isn't a close second.

It's C, right? Don't we have pretty good relations with China now? We sure buy a lot of their products and have outsourced some of our manufacturing to China. Please rethink your answer.

I am not sure about this one B? Officially, only four nations are under communist control -- China, North Korea, Vietnam, and Cuba -- and two of them have adopted a modified capitalistic economy. Please rethink your answer.
