Homework Help: math

Posted by kayla on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 4:06pm.

how do you change the fraction 8/35 to a percent?

please try to help. thanks

You would put 8 divided by 35 into your calculator, and you get 0.22..........

Next, you would move the decimal two places to the right and round to the nearest tenth- about 22.9%

p.s - your teacher may want you to round to the nearest hundredth,in which case the answer would be about 22.86%
