Homework Help: Accounting

Can someone give me good websites detailing the history of the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)? Or just give me a basic outline please?

Boss wants me to write an essay about it, I am also checking libraries, a few pointers would be great =) Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about it. But it looks like Wikipedia has a decent outline to at least start from with links to other places:
