Find length x in each triangle. Express your answer in simplified radical form.

leg 1 = 8

leg 2 = x

hypotenuse = 12

MY answer: so x = ã80

I got √80 or appr. 8.94

yes the symbol is a radical.

also since the directions say to leave as a radical form then i just leave it as radical 80 i don't have to simplify it to a decimal correct or wrong

Here is a neat way to show a radical sign

hold down the ALT key with your left hand, while at the same time pressing 251 with your right hand, then release the left hand,

Voila!!!

√

so, what do you think is my answer wrong.
